Nominated for a Thinkers50 award, the "Oscars of management ideas"

I couldn’t be more giddy about attending the Oscars — that is, the “Oscars of management ideas.” :) The Thinkers50 Awards Gala is taking place in London in a few weeks — and I’m excited to reconnect with always-inspiring friends like Dorie Clark, Michael Bungay Stanier, and others, and to meet lots of incredible new friends, all while seeing brilliant people be recognized for their contributions.

I’ve been an admirer of this group of recognized leaders and the community around it for quite some time, and have long wanted to attend the awards gala. That only increased in 2020, when I was first named to the Thinkers50 Radar! But this is the first chance I’ve had (due to their scheduling around the pandemic) to attend one of these galas in London myself — so now that I’m shortlisted for the Digital Thinking Distinguished Achievement award, it’s even more of a thrill to finally be going.

That’s right: it’s an incredible honor to be shortlisted for the Distinguished Achievement Award in Digital Thinking by Thinkers50, the “Oscars of management ideas.”

While this recognition is for A Future So Bright, I know I wouldn’t be writing this without the express support and involvement of so many of you who have worked with me, offered your own thoughts, encouraged me, and connected me with opportunities that have given me the chance to learn and grow.

Thank you so much to Thinkers50 for this recognition, and thanks to you all for everything you have done and continue to do to inspire and support me.

What’s more, I’m excited to be on the agenda for the London gala program, sharing a panel with Martin Lindstrom and Sinan Aral on “The Ghost and the Machine,” or how AI and other tech shifts are already reshaping and will continue to reshape the future of human work and human experience.

How can you follow along? Well, you can come join us in London! Tickets are still available. But if you can’t be there in person, you can follow the Thinkers50 account and/or the #Thinkers50 hashtag to keep up with all of the groundbreaking thought leadership coming out of this community. There are sure to be plenty of energizing ideas and moments shared from the awards gala and all of the top-notch programming around it.
